R&A Enterprise of Carbondale in Glenwood Springs, CO seeks Lead Project Journeyman Electrician. Installing complicated electrical service and branch circuits, breaker panels, physical structures, electrical wiring, and electronic components up to 480 volts at residential and commercial projects. Managing and ordering electrical materials. Managing and mentoring electrical apprentices and crews at residential and commercial projects. Maintains compliance with all OSHA, R&A Electric and other customer safety requirements and policies. Completes work with a focus on safety, quality, and a sense of urgency. Perform skilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of complicated electrical systems and equipment, including three phase 277/480 volt power distribution systems, light fixtures, and outlets based on UL Listing. Assists foreman with planning and layout. Develops understanding of daily and weekly paperwork and processes, including time sheets, daily logs, 3-week look ahead planner, labor productivity tracking, goal setting, tool box talks, JHAs, site logistics planning, material ordering for residential and commercial projects. Assists in coordinating with general contractors, sub-contractors, and other trades at each project. Uses various hand tools, site tools and safety equipment as needed on the job site. Maintain tools and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order. Read, interpret, and implement blueprints, improved layouts, electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams for residential and commercial projects. Has a working knowledge of circuitry and electrical theory, national electrical code, lighting control systems and fire alarm systems. Dig trenches for running underground electrical systems. Performs wire and cable pulls. Troubleshoot electrical issues with wiring and equipment, assess faults and make repairs and updates as needed. Perform electrical utility services for industrial based and new building projects, including connecting wires to breakers and transformers, installing cables, conductors, and wire trays for connection to primary power lines. Assists with material handling duties on the jobsite. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. May request background check upon hire. Will receive 1-week vacation, sick time, health insurance, holiday pay, 401K and performance bonuses.
Travel: Must be able to travel to unanticipated worksites within the Western Slope of Colorado.
Job Requirements: Must possess a High School education and 2 years of experience
- working with Hands Tools such as wire twisting pliers, cordless saws all and drill, screwdriver, and wire strippers;
- working in a construction environment alongside other contractors;
- working on projects that required managing the performance of apprentices or other electricians on a worksite; and
- lighting control system installations such Lutron, Crestron, or Control 4.
Must also possess a
- Colorado Journeyman Electrician license with no disciplinary actions or board actions;
- valid driver’s license; and
- OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety and Health Certification.
Salary: $80,000/year
